Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas spoke by phone Monday about the military escalation in Gaza and its surrounding areas, as well as the deteriorating situation that threatens civilian lives and the region’s security and stability.

During the conversation, the Crown Prince reiterated that Saudi Arabia is working with all international and regional parties to stop the current escalation and prevent its spread in the region. He emphasised the importance of following international humanitarian law and not attacking civilians.

According to the Saudi Press Agency, the Crown Prince also emphasised the Kingdom’s unwavering support for the Palestinian people in their pursuit of legitimate rights to a decent life, the realisation of their hopes and aspirations, and the achievement of a just and lasting peace.

Meanwhile, Abbas expressed his gratitude to the Kingdom’s leadership, praising its firm stances and efforts to support the Palestinian people and their just cause. Since Saturday (October 7), hundreds of Palestinians have been killed in clashes between Hamas, the ruling authority in Gaza, and the Israeli regime.
