“The exercise is an annual training session between the Indian and Malaysian military”
This exercise includes a Command Planning Exercise (CPX) at the Battalion level and a Field Training Exercise (FTX) at the Company level, both of which are about non-standard operations in jungle terrain.
The schedule for the joint exercise includes setting up a joint command post and a joint surveillance centre, sharing knowledge about how to use aerial assets, technical demonstrations, managing casualties, and getting them to safety, as well as planning logistics at the battalion level.
Joint field training exercises, joint combat discussions, and joint demonstrations will all lead up to a two-day validation exercise. This exercise will focus on improving tactical skills, making it easier for the forces to work together, and improving relations between the Army and the Army.
The press release said that the exercise will help the Indian Army and the Malaysian Army work together better on defence and improve relations between the two countries.
