KULALA LUMPUR, 15 Oct. In order to protect students’ health, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim today pledged to look into and take swift measures to fix school restrooms.

Anwar congratulated Maryam, a pupil who wrote him a letter at the age of nine informing him of the state of the restrooms at her school, in a Facebook post.

“I’m grateful, Maryam. In order to ensure the safety of the students at the schools, I will work harder and faster to find a solution.

Anwar also included Maryam’s handwritten English letter, in which she addressed him as “Uncle Anwar,” in the post.
The proposal to repair the toilets in 8,354 schools was announced by the prime minister on Friday when he unveiled Budget 2024, which has the subject “Economic Reform, Empowering the People.”- Info source- Malay Mail
